Katz Compliance may be new, but our history is well-established and well-known in the world of progressive politics. Katz Compliance, formerly known as Evans & Katz, LLC (E&K) was founded 27 years ago by Diane Evans who grew the company to be a leader in the campaign finance consulting industry. The new company is led by compliance industry veteran Cassie Tinsmon, who previously served as the Vice President of Compliance and Operations for E&K, working with Diane and team for more than 15 years before moving into the new role as President of Katz Compliance.
Diane founded Evans & Katz with a mission to build a successful campaign compliance firm that would provide stable, flexible careers for women in politics who can meet the cyclical, around-the-clock demands of candidates and political organizations. Over the years, the company has succeeded in building a business model that is stable for the job security of its employees, and adaptive for the candidates and political organizations it represents. Katz Compliance’s mission remains the same, to provide exceptional service for our clients while maintaining work/life balance for our employees.
Today, Katz Compliance has grown from a one-woman shop (Evans & Katz) to a recognized industry leader with a national presence, but the firm’s core values are the same. We are still 100% woman-owned, and still dedicated to providing a nurturing and flexible workplace for women—and men—who love politics. Our success in achieving a nurturing, professional culture is demonstrated by the talented team of compliance professionals who have more than a century of combined experience in political campaigns war rooms, senior policy positions, and high-level FEC offices.

We take great pride in eliminating compliance-related worries for the candidates, campaign committees, and political action committees we represent, so they can focus on winning elections.
We also take pride in our long history of serving progressive causes through a diverse clientele and by providing funds and volunteer support to campaigns and nonprofit organizations that promote women’s equality, workers’ rights, social justice, freedom of expression, and support for marginalized communities.
