Cassie Tinsmon

President

Cassie is a campaign finance industry veteran with 15 years of hands-on compliance experience and a background that includes fundraising, lobbying, political organizing, and policy research.

Cassie’s undergraduate studies in social work at Wichita State University led to an internship with Dr. George Tiller, the medical director of the Wichita-based, Women's Healthcare Services Clinic who was targeted by anti-abortion groups and shot and killed in his church by an extremist in 2009. Cassie’s work for the organization included “just about everything,” from grassroots organizing and lobbying to policy research and fundraising. After graduation, she accepted a full-time job as the organization’s finance director. She later served as board member and board chair for a variety of reproductive rights organizations, including the Trust Women Foundation and New York Abortion Access Fund. Dr. Tiller’s murder cemented Cassie’s passion for reproductive justice and strengthened her commitment to progressive causes and issues.

Cassie joined Evans & Katz, LLC (E&K) in 2008 as a client manager and steadily rose through the ranks to become Vice President of Compliance and Operations. Initially, she joined the company to continue her career in politics while raising and homeschooling her children. She stayed at E&K because of her love of politics and her dedication to the company’s clients and the values they represent. She purchased E&K in 2022 and relaunched the company as Katz Compliance LLC.

Cassie has deep experience managing Political Action Committees, House candidate committees, leadership PACs, 527 organizations, 501(c)4 entities, and helping down-ballot candidates implement systems and navigate compliance rules and regulations at the local level.

She graduated from Wichita State University with degrees in Social Work and Psychology, and she holds a Master of Public Health degree from New Mexico State University. She lives in Wichita, Kansas where with the help of her husband, they homeschool their two children, enjoying the midwestern lifestyle she grew up in.
